Recruitment Process:
The selection process will consist of three stages:
- Preliminary Examination (Part-1):
- General Studies (Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions).
- Duration: 2 hours.
- Total Marks: 150.
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark for each wrong answer.
- This is a qualifying exam for selection to the Main Examination.
- Minimum qualifying marks: General-40%, BC-36.5%, EBC-34%, SC/ST/Women/PwD-32%.
- Main (Written) Examination (Part-2):
- For 71st CCE Posts:
- General Hindi (Qualifying – 30% marks required): 100 marks
- General Studies Paper-I: 300 marks
- General Studies Paper-II: 300 marks
- Essay: 300 marks
- Optional Paper (MCQ based): 100 marks (Choice from a list of subjects)
- For Financial Administrative Officer & Equivalent:
- General Hindi (Qualifying – 30% marks required): 100 marks
- General Studies Paper-I: 300 marks
- General Studies Paper-II: 300 marks
- Optional Paper (Subjective, choose one from Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics): 300 marks

- Personality Test / Interview (Part-3):
- Total Marks: 120.
- Candidates qualifying the Main (Written) Examination will be called for the Personality Test.
- Medical Examination: Candidates recommended after the interview will undergo a medical examination.
- Document Verification: Will be conducted at appropriate stages.
Final Merit List:
- For 71st CCE posts: Based on marks obtained in Main Exam (GS-I, GS-II, Essay, Optional = 300+300+300+100 = 1000 marks) and Interview (120 marks). Total = 1120 marks. (Note: Document mentions 900 for mains + 120 for interview = 1020. Essay is 300, GS1 300, GS2 300. The optional for 71st CCE is 100 marks, MCQ. The text on page 7 (i) specifies 900 for mains + 120 for interview for 71st CCE, which implies (GS1 300 + GS2 300 + Essay 300 = 900) not counting the 100 marks optional paper towards merit, which is unusual. - For Financial Administrative Officer: Based on marks in Main Exam (GS-I, GS-II, Optional = 300+300+300 = 900 marks) and Interview (120 marks). Total = 1020 marks.

- One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory. New users must register first. Those who have registered previously on the new portal can log in.
- Fill the application form carefully with personal details, educational qualifications, and other required information.
- Upload scanned copies of:
- Recent live photograph (captured via webcam).
- Signature in Hindi and English (scanned image, .jpg/.jpeg format, max 15KB, 220×100 pixel).
- Required documents/certificates in PDF format (max 100 KB each).
- Pay the application fee through the online payment gateway.
- After successful submission, download and print the application form for future reference. No hard copy needs to be sent to BPSC unless specifically asked for.
