The selection process involves a two-tier computer-based examination (Tier-I and Tier-II). Position, Pay Level, and Salary

The recruitment is for various posts classified under different Pay Levels as per the 7th Pay Commission. Below is a detailed list of positions and their corresponding pay scales.

1. Pay Level-7 (₹ 44,900 to ₹ 1,42,400) – Group “B”

• Inspector of Income Tax (Post No. 8) is a Group “C” post in this pay level with an age limit of 18-30 years.

2. Pay Level-6 (₹ 35,400 to ₹ 1,12,400) – Group “B”

3. Pay Level-5 (₹ 29,200 to ₹ 92,300) – Group “C”

4. Pay Level-4 (₹ 25,500 to ₹ 81,100) – Group “C”

Educational Qualification (as on 01-08-2025)

Candidates must possess the essential qualification on or before the cut-off date.

1. Junior Statistical Officer (JSO):
   • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at the 12th standard level;
   • OR
   • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level.
2. Statistical Investigator Grade-II:
   • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized University or Institute. The candidate must have studied Statistics in all six semesters of the three-year degree course.
3. All other Posts:
   • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

Note: Candidates who are in the final year of their graduation can also apply, provided they possess the essential qualification on or before the cut-off date of 01-08-2025.
