đ Qualification
For Assistant Professor:
A candidate must meet the criteria from either A or B below.
- (A) A Master’s degree with 55% marks in the relevant subject AND must have cleared the NET (UGC/CSIR) or SET.
- OR (NET/SET Exemption): A Ph.D. degree awarded as per UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016. Candidates who registered for their Ph.D. before July 11, 2009, are also exempted, provided their Ph.D. meets the following five conditions:
- Awarded in regular mode.
- Thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners.
- An open Ph.D. viva voce was conducted.
- Published two research papers from the Ph.D. work (one in a refereed journal).
- Presented at least two papers in conferences/seminars.
- OR (NET/SET Exemption): A Ph.D. degree awarded as per UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016. Candidates who registered for their Ph.D. before July 11, 2009, are also exempted, provided their Ph.D. meets the following five conditions:
- (B) A Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in the world by QS, THE, or ARWU.
For College Librarian:
- A Masterâs Degree in Library Science/Information Science with at least 55% marks.
- A consistently good academic record with knowledge of library computerization.
- Must have cleared the NET/SET or hold a Ph.D. degree with the same exemption conditions as mentioned for the Assistant Professor.
