Eligibility Criteria:

• Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.
• Educational Qualification:
  • For most posts (Table-I): A Graduate Degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • For Financial Administrative Officer (Table-II): A Graduate Degree in Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics from a recognized university or institution.
  • Candidates must possess the required educational qualification by the last date of application.
• Age Limit (as on 01.08.2025, unless specified otherwise):
  • Minimum Age: 21 years or 22 years (Varies post-wise, see table above).
  • Maximum Age:
    • Unreserved (Male): 37 years
    • Unreserved (Female), BC/EBC (Male & Female): 40 years
    • SC/ST (Male & Female): 42 years
  • Special Note for Sahkarita Prasar Padadhikari (Cooperative Extension Officer): Maximum age limit will be calculated as on 01.08.2015.
  • Age relaxation applicable as per Bihar Government rules for PwD (10 years), Ex-Servicemen, and other eligible categories.

Recruitment Process:
The selection process will consist of three stages:

1. Preliminary Examination (Part-1):
   • General Studies (Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions).
   • Duration: 2 hours.
   • Total Marks: 150.
   • Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark for each wrong answer.
   • This is a qualifying exam for selection to the Main Examination.
   • Minimum qualifying marks: General-40%, BC-36.5%, EBC-34%, SC/ST/Women/PwD-32%.
2. Main (Written) Examination (Part-2):
   • For 71st CCE Posts:
     • General Hindi (Qualifying – 30% marks required): 100 marks
     • General Studies Paper-I: 300 marks
     • General Studies Paper-II: 300 marks
     • Essay: 300 marks
     • Optional Paper (MCQ based): 100 marks (Choice from a list of subjects)
   • For Financial Administrative Officer & Equivalent:
     • General Hindi (Qualifying – 30% marks required): 100 marks
     • General Studies Paper-I: 300 marks
     • General Studies Paper-II: 300 marks
     • Optional Paper (Subjective, choose one from Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics): 300 marks
   • Minimum qualifying marks in Main Exam: General-40%, BC-36.5%, EBC-34%, SC/ST/Women/PwD-32%.
3. Personality Test / Interview (Part-3):
   • Total Marks: 120.
   • Candidates qualifying the Main (Written) Examination will be called for the Personality Test.
4. Medical Examination: Candidates recommended after the interview will undergo a medical examination.
5. Document Verification: Will be conducted at appropriate stages.

Final Merit List:

• For 71st CCE posts: Based on marks obtained in Main Exam (GS-I, GS-II, Essay, Optional = 300+300+300+100 = 1000 marks) and Interview (120 marks). Total = 1120 marks. (Note: Document mentions 900 for mains + 120 for interview = 1020. Essay is 300, GS1 300, GS2 300. The optional for 71st CCE is 100 marks, MCQ. The text on page 7 (i) specifies 900 for mains + 120 for interview for 71st CCE, which implies (GS1 300 + GS2 300 + Essay 300 = 900) not counting the 100 marks optional paper towards merit, which is unusual. • All Female Candidates (Bihar Domicile – Reserved/Unreserved): ₹150/-

• Biometric Fee: ₹200/- (This is an additional fee. However, candidates providing Aadhaar number during online application are exempted from this Biometric fee).

How to Apply:

1. Candidates must apply online through the official BPSC website: https://bpsc.bihar.gov.in or https://bpsconline.bihar.gov.in.
2. One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory. New users must register first. Those who have registered previously on the new portal can log in.
3. Fill the application form carefully with personal details, educational qualifications, and other required information.
4. Upload scanned copies of:
   • Recent live photograph (captured via webcam).
   • Signature in Hindi and English (scanned image, .jpg/.jpeg format, max 15KB, 220×100 pixel).
   • Required documents/certificates in PDF format (max 100 KB each).
5. Pay the application fee through the online payment gateway.
6. After successful submission, download and print the application form for future reference. No hard copy needs to be sent to BPSC unless specifically asked for.
